The official launch of the “Wings for All” program by the “Our Mountains” Development Agency took place in Halidsor, aimed at developing the Tatev enlarged community. The event was attended by around 50 community residents who had the opportunity to discover the socio-cultural advantages unique to their community and transform them into practical business ideas.
The program, implemented with a grant from the Hovnanian Family Foundation and in collaboration with the Tatev Community Center and Innobiz Company, aims to develop an entrepreneurial culture in the region. Participants will learn entrepreneurial skills over six months and develop their business projects with the help of experienced mentors.
“The main goal of our program is to teach community residents how to convert existing resources into sustainable business opportunities,” said Sona Hovhannisyan, the program director. “Today, we presented participants with examples of world-famous businesses that were born from simple ideas and transformed into large enterprises. We believe that the Tatev community also has enormous potential, and we are here to unlock that potential.”
Deputy Community Leader Marat Gerasimyan emphasized the initiative’s importance for community development: “This program has strategic significance for the Tatev enlarged community. We believe that developing local entrepreneurship can breathe new life into our community, create jobs, and stimulate economic growth. It is especially important that the program includes both local and displaced Artsakh families, which contributes to community integration and mutual support.”
Naira Margaryan, the director of Innobiz Company, highlighted the importance of training and mentorship in business initiatives: “Our experience shows that practical knowledge and individual mentorship play a crucial role in business success. Our experienced mentors are ready to support participants in turning their business ideas into reality. We will provide not only knowledge but also applied tools necessary for being competitive in the market.”
