GIFT THE SEASON

The goal of the project is, on the eve of the New Year and Christmas holidays, to invite forcibly displaced children from Artsakh who settled in the Tatev community of Syunik region and children living in Halidzor to the newly opened Halidzor community center for an interactive New Year’s performance, giving them a festive mood.

As part of this endeavor, we plan to provide New Year’s gifts to children from Artsakh who had to leave behind their cherished Christmas trees, toys, and books due to displacement. The children will be visited not only by Santa Claus and Snow Maiden, but also by their peers from Yerevan and other settlements of RA to spend the preholiday days together.

EXPECTED OUTCOMES

The project’s implementation aims to provide children from Artsakh with a chance to distance themselves from somber memories and the hustle of daily life, fostering a more joyful disposition.
Engaging with local peers will expedite the adaptation of Artsakh’s children to their new surroundings.
Through this initiative, the children of the Tatev community will discover the diverse offerings of the recently inaugurated community center in Halidzor. This center presents opportunities for them to access new knowledge, develop skills, and nurture their abilities.
Furthermore, this project will play a pivotal role in fostering inter-community relations within Armenia.
