Creation of a Support Center for Forcibly Displaced Persons from Artsakh in Syunik

The project involves establishing a Support Center for displaced persons from Artsakh in the Syunik region.
The Center will serve as a platform for socio-economic and cultural-educational programs aimed at supporting displaced persons, preserving the identity and intangible cultural heritage of Armenians from Artsakh, and facilitating their social integration into Armenian society.

Program goals:

  • To create a support center that provides comprehensive assistance to displaced persons.
  • To promote socio-economic and cultural integration through various programs.
  • To preserve the cultural heritage and identity of Armenians from Artsakh.

Program objectives:

  • Provide advisory and legal assistance to vulnerable groups.
  • Implement employment and self-employment programs for displaced persons.
  • Launch psychological support and rehabilitation initiatives.
  • Organize creative and educational programs for children and youth.
  • Strengthen community cohesion through integration activities.

The first phase of the project (Center establishment) will take 1 year

with a long-term perspective of at least 5 years.

Beneficiaries: 

  • Direct beneficiaries:  Approximately 5,000 displaced persons residingin the Syunik region.

Sustainability: 

  • Long-term viability:  All profits generated by the center will be reinvested in its development and program support, ensuring stability and self-sufficiency.
  • Resource mobilization strategy:  Develop strategies to attract additional resources and partnerships to ensure long-term funding and sustainability.
  • Community engagement:  The center will actively cooperate with local authorities and organizations, ensuring support and participation from local residents.
  • Educational and entrepreneurial initiatives:  Programs to teach and develop entrepreneurial skills, including assistance to displaced persons in starting their own businesses, will provide long-term opportunities for economic independence.
